Pool Equipment Manuals and Parts Diagrams: How to Find Yours

To find the right manual or part, start with the model and serial number on your equipment's label. Pool Supply Atlanta's website has a free library of equipment manuals and parts diagrams for Jandy, Hayward, Pentair, Raypak, and Optimus. Find your model, use the parts diagram to identify the part you need, then bring the old part or the model and serial number to our Alpharetta store at 2900 Holcomb Bridge Rd and we will help you match it.

Step 1: Find your model and serial number

Every major piece of pool equipment has a label or rating plate with its model and serial number. Take a clear photo of it on your phone so you always have it.

    EquipmentWhere the label usually is
PumpOn the motor, often on the side or end of the motor housing
FilterOn the side of the filter tank
Heater or heat pumpOn a rating plate, often inside an access panel or on the side of the unit
Pool cleanerOn the body of the cleaner or on the power supply for robotic cleaners
Salt system or automationOn the control panel or inside its cover

    Step 2: Find your manual

Our Catalogs & Equipment Manuals page has manuals and parts diagrams for Jandy, Hayward, Pentair, Raypak, and Optimus. Search or browse for your brand and model. Manuals cover installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting, and are worth keeping handy.

Browse our free manuals and parts diagrams, or bring your model and serial number to our Alpharetta store and we will help you find what you need.

Step 3: Read the parts diagram

A parts diagram, sometimes called an exploded view, shows every part of your equipment laid out with a reference number. To use it:

    1. Find the part you need on the drawing.
    2. Note its reference number.
    3. Match that number to the parts list to get the actual part number and description.

Reference numbers only apply to that diagram. The part number is what identifies the actual part.

    The parts people replace most

    • •O-rings and gaskets, especially pump lid and filter O-rings
    • •Pump baskets and lids
    • •Shaft seals and motor bearings
    • •Filter cartridges, grids and sand
    • •Cleaner tires, belts, brushes and hoses

Small parts like O-rings wear out regularly and are often the cause of leaks and air problems. Read our pool pump troubleshooting guide for more.

    Not sure? Bring it in

If you cannot find the label or are unsure which part you need, bring the old part, a photo of the label or the model and serial number to our Alpharetta store. Matching it in person is the surest way to get the right part the first time.
